I've been interested in Astronomy all my life, started
with a department store 60mm "telescope", which was difficult to use as
I could have made a sturdier mount out of rubber bands, although I loved
the views of the moon, Saturn, Jupiter and other sights. Then jumped to a
12.5" newtonian after college which was a great scope, but turned out to
be just too big to set up all the time, so I didn't use it much. Since I've built the observatory, I'm using it all the time, and am getting better at all the tricks of good imaging.
I'm a programmer, and do consulting work for companies. I mostly use Visual
Studio .NET, C#, Visual Basic, ASP, and both windows appilcations and web sites.
I've been getting the setup more and more automated, most of the time I can set it up, and go to sleep, and wake up in the morning and shut the roof. Thanks to some great software, like CCDAutoPilot, automated imaging can work very nicely.
Below is a picture of my step son Brandon in front of the scope.

Many ask about who hosts my site, check it out with the link here - I like the hosting
company, and they support all kinds of web sites, including .NET and SQL Server
databases for very reasonable rates.
